Symmetrio is seeking a Field Service Technician on behalf of a a rapidly expanding provider of technical solutions for healthcare and laboratory environments.

We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience servicing facility, laboratory, or water quality equipment who’s comfortable working independently in the field, troubleshooting complex systems, and supporting end users in regulated settings.This is a full-time role with regular travel to customer sites across the U.S. The position offers competitive pay ($80–100k, depending on experience), strong growth potential, and a focus on employee development. Successful candidates will be confident managing technical systems on their own while communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain technical systems and equipment at diverse customer sites.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, system testing, and regulatory compliance checks.
  • Accurately complete service documentation, including maintenance records, reports, and inventory logs.
  • Build relationships with site personnel through clear communication and responsive follow-up.
  • Provide technical guidance and informal training to site staff as needed.
  • Safely manage use of tools, spare parts, and company assets in the field.
  • Support urgent or on-call service needs, including occasional overtime or weekend work.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of technical service experience in water treatment, lab, biomedical, or industrial systems.
  • Associate’s degree, equivalent technical / military training, or relevant field experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, or fluid handling systems.
  • Proficiency with digital documentation, basic computer tools, and modern mobile devices.
  • Ability to work independently, organize tasks, and communicate clearly.
  • Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varied environments.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as business needs require.
