Art Tutor

Position Description :

Under the training and direction of the site administrators and VAPA teachers, tutor students in VAPA classes and coordinate student

assignments with teachers.

• Correct usage of the English language, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills, tact, patience, and courtesy.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Maintain confidentially and use discretion when working with students.
• Demonstrate ability to be organized.

Education & Experience :

High school graduate, current enrollment in a two or four year college program or technical trade school and availability for all four days of tutoring assignment each week.

Application Procedures :

recommended for this position will be required to obtain fingerprint clearance before beginning employment. This clearance requires submitting a processing fee for Live Scan to meet the pre-employment requirements and has an estimated time length of 72 hours.

2-5 hours daily between the hours of 8 : 30 a.m. - 3 : 30 p.m.
