Located in the heart of Torrance, CA. We are a local CPA firm looking for an experienced senior tax preparer to join our fun and hardworking team with opportunities for growth and ownership. Individual should have the flexibility to work overtime and Saturdays during tax season. Ideal candidate will be an enrolled agent or someone with past working experience in a CPA firm.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 3-years experience in preparation of simple to complex tax returns, both individual and business
- Knowledge of current individual, partnership and corporate income tax law
- Able to apply tax knowledge in consulting tax clients
- Able to perform full bookkeeping independently
- Excellent written and communications skills
- Possess time management skills to be able to prioritize and multi-task
- Able to work in fast-paced environment to meet tax deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
- Team player
Responsibilities :
Prepare simple to complex income tax returns (individual, partnership, corporate, trusts)Perform bookkeeping in QuickbooksAble to answer client's income tax questionsFollow up with clients to ensure tax deadlines are metDraft letters in response to client noticesAssist in other city / county / state tax filingsMaintain confidentiality at all timesPreferred Qualifications :
CPA or enrolled agentKnowledge of bookkeeping, Lacerte, Smart Vault, and Quickbooks a plusBenefits :
