About the Role
In this role, you will handle inbound and outbound pharmacy calls, assist with refill scheduling and payment coordination, and ensure each patient receives the highest level of care and service.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patient calls regarding prescription status, refills, and financial information.
- Schedule medication deliveries and process payments accurately to ensure timely shipments.
- Demonstrate empathy and professionalism while responding to patients and clinicians.
- Run medical claims, update patient profiles, and maintain detailed progress notes.
- Address patient questions and escalate clinical concerns to pharmacists or nurses when needed.
- Support workflow efficiency by routing calls appropriately and updating records in the system.
- Identify and report any adverse events (AEs) or product complaints (PCs) promptly.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred1+ year of call center or customer service experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with management information systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectivelyEmpathy and a professional phone manner are essentialExperience in a medical office or pharmacy environment is a plusKnowledge of medical terminology or medical claims preferredRequired Skills
