Azure Data Architect

Job Description

Working with a household name in the retail space, they are seeking a Data Architect who can lead the shaping, and delivery, of the next generation of the organizations enterprise data platform. This is a hands-on role focused on designing, building, and optimizing scalable cloud data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and decision-making across the business.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate :

• Strong proficiency in Azure services (specifically Data) - including, but not limited to, areas such as :
• Microsoft Fabric
• Azure Data Factory
• Azure SQL Database
• SQL Managed Instance
• Advanced SQL development and optimization skills
• Expertise in designing data models (fact / dimension tables, star and snowflake schemas) to support data warehousing and analytics
• Ability to build and maintain ETL / ELT pipelines, applying best practices for orchestration, monitoring, performance tuning, and error handling
• Familiarity with medallion-style architectures (bronze, silver, gold layers) to ensure scalability and data quality
• Experience integrating data platforms with reporting solutions such as Power BI
• Confidence in communicating with senior stakeholders, including executives, and presenting architectural recommendations

This role is located in the North Dallas / Richardson / Frisco area and requires 5 days per week working on site. This is a permanent role with a salary in the region of $145,000 to $160,000. Plus benefits.
