About The Position

Job Title : Ultrasound Technologist

Profession : Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer

Experience : Minimum of 1 year

License : Registered in General, AB, OB, RVT

Certifications : Must achieve OB / GYN registry within 6 months of hire, as applicable.

Description :

Provide diagnostic sonograms for interpretation by a radiologist.

Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the mission and values of the facility.

Position requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing schedules and needs.

Utilize ultrasound equipment to conduct examinations on ER, inpatient, and outpatient patients.

Verify and document patient information and ensure the accuracy of data entered into the system.

Collaborate with staff and physicians to assure delivery of optimal patient care.

Prepare and stock examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for procedures.

Assist in the transportation of patients and maintain a safe environment.

Demonstrate and maintain technical proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment.

Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and obtain pertinent medical history.

Maintain compliance with safety protocols and equipment emergencies.

Participate in quality improvement programs and contribute to orientation and training of new staff.

Stay updated with procedural developments and medical best practices.

Demonstrate compassion and professionalism while providing patient care.

Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to departmental policies.
