Role : Audio Visual Project Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced AV Project Manager to oversee audiovisual (AV) systems implementation and upgrades for public meeting spaces used by elected officials. This role will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of major AV initiatives, including the City Hall Renovation project. The ideal candidate has a strong background in managing AV infrastructure projects, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and delivering high‑quality solutions that meet technical and functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, design, and implementation of AV systems for new and renovated government facilities.

Manage the build‑out and setup of public meeting spaces for elected officials, ensuring reliable and high‑quality audiovisual experiences.

Oversee project budgets, schedules, and vendor contracts to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery.

Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors throughout all project phases.

Coordinate AV integration with broader facility renovation and IT infrastructure initiatives.

Develop and track project milestones, prepare progress reports, and present updates to leadership.

Ensure compliance with accessibility, technical, and security standards relevant to public government meetings.

Support the stand‑up of new AV programs, including operational readiness, training, and handoff to support staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of experience managing audiovisual or technology infrastructure projects, preferably in public sector or enterprise environments.

Proven track record in vendor management, budgeting, and contract oversight.

Strong understanding of AV systems integration, control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX), and hybrid meeting technologies.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

PMP or similar project management certification preferred.

Preferred Skills

Experience with government or public meeting environments.

Familiarity with construction or renovation coordination involving AV infrastructure.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
