Hazmat Qualified Operator

Project Overview : We are commencing a new project and are seeking a Hazmat qualified operator. The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating extended reach forklifts and skid steers. This role demands dedication, commitment, and a strong emphasis on safety.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Operate extended reach forklifts and skid steers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Handle hazardous materials with strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure operational safety.
  • Coordinate with the project team to achieve project goals and timelines.
  • Conduct site assessments and participate in safety meetings.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Respond to emergencies and hazardous material spills following established procedures.

Requirements

Requirements :

  • Certification : Must have completed 40 hours of HAZWOPER training with an 8-hour refresher.
  • Experience : Prior experience operating extended reach forklifts and skid steers.
  • Skills : Strong understanding of safety protocols related to hazardous materials handling.
  • Attributes : Dedication, commitment, and a high regard for safety.
  • Physical Requirements : Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various environmental conditions.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Additional certifications related to hazardous material handling.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a project-based environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
