FIC America Corp. is a global Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer centrally located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. We are actively seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor with OSHA and LOTO experience. Will participate in the design and implementation of new programs to comply with company standards and federal, state, and local requirements.
Essential Job Functions
- Train employees in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, such as, but not limited to, forklifts, LOTO, personal protective equipment, and blood-borne pathogens
- Perform audits and inspections and create detailed reports highlighting any safety issues observed
- Manage the PPE program, including placing orders, and daily presence on production floor
- Assist in the design and implementation of safety and health programs to prevent, correct, and / or control unsafe and noncompliant conditions
- Direct and assign tasks and duties, and enforce safety and sanitation regulations
- Prepare departmental reports as directed by Manager
- Evaluate performance and record evaluations
- Develop and train employees to follow standard work instructions
- Assist with work activities as necessary to maintain workflow
- Review and evaluate new and existing operations to identify and resolve any safety issues in manufacturing processes
- Eliminate or control hazardous conditions resulting from human error, equipment and machine operations that may lead to human injury and / or property damage
- Investigate accidents to determine causes and how to prevent such accidents in the future
- Plan and test emergency systems and procedures to ensure proper preparation
- Maintain all necessary legal required documentation such as OSHA required documentation
- Support Incident Corrective Action completion with all necessary departments
- Support all department planned activities and targets
- Assist with Health & Safety training for orientation including a safety floor walk
- Follow standard work instructions
- Perform other duties as assigned

4+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, with 2+ years of experience in leadershipExperience with LOTOKnowledgeable with OSHA regulationsMust have proficient oral and written communication skillsOSHA 30-Hour Certification preferredExperience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookBilingual in Spanish and English is preferredValid driver’s license is required to drive between the production facilitiesMust be willing to cross-trainPay Range $85,000 – $95,000 year, based on qualifications and experience
