Overview

Continuous Improvement Engineering Co-Op (Summer / Fall 2026) at Emerson. Location : Sherman, TX.

We are looking for someone who is interested in gaining real-world experience in a dynamic, collaborative environment. You will play a key role in supporting and leading continuous improvement initiatives within our world-class manufacturing facility, collaborating with subject matter experts and applying lean methodologies to implement safety, ergonomic, quality and process improvements.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

• Supporting, promoting, and owning a strong safety culture.
• Work in a team to achieve performance metrics defined by Safety, Service Level, Quality, Training, Cost Reductions, and Process Improvements.
• Advance continuous improvement initiatives by collaborating with subject matter experts in Engineering, Maintenance & Facilities, Logistics, Production, and Quality.
• Leverage Lean principles and tools to contribute toward safety, ergonomic, quality, and process improvements.
• Formally present project status on a regular cadence to relay progress and communicate challenges.
• Capture knowledge to develop Best Practices and Procedures; communicate these to employees through Visual Workplace, formal Training, and Area meetings.
• Engage in the development of Appropriation Requests and capital projects to implement new technology solutions that improve productivity, efficiency, and quality.
