Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg night shift position requiring an active MT or compact RN license and EPIC charting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Med / Surg unit within a hospital setting
  • Cares for a general medical-surgical patient population
  • 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week
  • EPIC is the charting system used and experience is required
  • May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
  • On-call may be required during regularly scheduled shifts
  • Provide independent and delegated nursing care for medical-surgical patients
  • Assist with assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient health status
  • Health teaching, counseling, and consultation as part of daily responsibilities
  • May be asked to cover additional units based on patient census and departmental needs
  • Prompt compliance with background check and drug screen requirements is expected upon offer
  • Scrub or dress code information not specified

    • Requirements

  • Active RN license valid in MT or compact state is required prior to consideration
  • Minimum of one year recent Med / Surg RN experience required
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN required; BSN preferred)
  • Current AHA BLS certification required; ACLS / NRP / PALS preferred as appropriate for unit
  • All certifications must be issued by American Heart Association and valid through the contract
  • EPIC charting experience is required
