JOB SUMMARY

Southwest Shipyard is seeking a skilled and dependable Boat Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The Boat Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems on marine vessels, including engines, propulsion systems, steering, and other related systems. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all boats serviced or operated at our shipyard.

WORK SCHEDULE

Regular attendance and punctuality are required of all employees.

Varies by Department and / orLocation.

Day Shift : 6 : 00am - 3 : 30pm

Overtime and / or Weekend Availability required.

PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.

This includes hard hat, safety glasses, life vest, respirators, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, personal flotation devices (PFDs), or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done.
