• Department : Peyton Manning Children's Hospital-PMCH
• Schedule : Day shift, 3X12. Operating hours; Monday-Friday, 5.30am-8.00pm. Weekend and holiday call rotation
• Hospital : Ascension St. Vincent
• Location : Indianapolis, IN

Provide direct nursing care for patients in the pre and post-operative period

Prepare and educate patients / families for procedure and discharge

Evaluate patient responses to treatments and interventions

Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate through post-anesthesia recovery

Follow guidelines according to the Association of perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) and the American Society of Peri Anesthesia Nurses (ASPAN)

Provide direct nursing care for anesthetized patients in the immediate post-operative or post-procedural period.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration :

Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

One or more of the following is required :

American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

The Peyton Manning Surgery and Procedure Center- PMCH is a surgery center within St Vincent Hospital, serving the patients of Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital. We provide pre and post-surgical and anesthesia care to both outpatients and inpatients ages 0 through 17 years. The surgery center is highly specialized in the care and treatment of children before and after surgery in a child-friendly environment. We are passionate about what we do and are committed to making the surgical experience easier and less stressful for the patient and caregiver.
