Job Title
This class is accountable for supporting staff by performing a wide range of basic clerical / office tasks for the University.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Student Life clerical position supports the functional areas of Student Development which includes housing, activities, orientation and organizations, as well as, the Office of the Dean of Students and the Vice President for Student Life.
Greets visitors and guests to the office; assists those attending meetings with professional staff
Provides assistance with information regarding programs and events
Performs clerical tasks such as copying, filing, scanning, and preparing documents; Answers phones and directs callers to appropriate staff members;
Becomes familiar with the University policies, procedures, and general information to assist with inquiries
Uses software which support department operations such as eRezLife (housing), Canva (event marketing) and The Den (student organizations)
Assists with special projects and assignments within the Division of Student Life
Runs errands throughout the University; represents the office in a professional and courteous manner when visiting offices on campus;
Follows procedures when handling petty cash requests;
Performs related duties as assigned
Qualifications
MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY
Must be Federal Work Study Eligible
Must Include a Resume and Cover Letter
Some knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
Good organizational skills;
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
