Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Licensed Optician located in Berlin, CT. The Licensed Optician will assist patients in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses, provide optical-related consultation, and perform eyewear adjustments and repairs. The role includes verifying prescriptions, educating patients on lens options, and maintaining accurate patient records. Responsibilities also include managing inventory, processing orders, and ensuring the optical dispensary is clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Licensed Optician, with a valid CT optician license
• Experience in eyeglass and contact lens fitting, adjustments, and repairs
• Knowledge of optical-related products and technologies
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Proficiency with managing inventory and processing orders
• Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus
