LPN Charge Nurse - No Weekends

Under supervision of nurse in charge of unit, provides personal care to the residents, including routine nursing care in accordance with facility policy and procedures. CNA will also assist nurse in more complex nursing care of residents as requested and help maintain a pleasant, orderly physical environment.\n\nAll duties must be done in a kind, considerate, gentle manner, with resident rights considered in all interactions.\n\nTYPE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED / USED : \n\nGloves, wash cloth, soap, wash basin, linen, wheelchair / gerichair, bedpan / urinal, walker / cane, mop, bed rails, scales, whirlpool tubs, and resident lifts.\n

• High School diploma or equivalent.\n
• Must be a Certified Nurse Aide as defined by the state of South Carolina.\n
• Experience preferred.\n
• Ability to speak, read and write the English language.\n
• Willing to attend on-going education programs.\n
• Commitment to the delivery of quality care to the residents along with a caring attitude.\n
• Good general physical and emotional health.\n
• Able to perform nursing care, observe changes in resident condition, and communicate effectively.\n
• Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning resident information.\n
• Ability to accept guidance to understand and improve performance in resident care.\n
• Genuine interest in geriatrics.\n
• Kind, tactful, and patient with residents, families and co-workers.\n
• Must have initiative and be capable of taking an assignment and completing the multiple tasks involved without constant close supervision.\n
• Must be mature and have ability and desire to give good care to residents who at times, may be inappropriate, unthankful, unkind or combative.\n
• Must be able to take directions.\n
• Must be a team player.\n
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, turning, moving and transporting residents.
