Job Description
Create design drawing packages referencing project specifications, codes, and project requirements for submittal to customers and AHJs.
Assist with the creation of documentation and processing of document revisions.
Attend manufacturer training classes.
Obtain and maintain the licenses and certifications required for a fire alarm and fire suppression designer.
Assist with inspections and startups as needed.
Provide technical and design support to other departments.
Revise and process redline drawings provided by shop, field, and engineering staff.
Survey job sites, including active data center projects , to ensure proper system design.
Assist in the training and development of other engineers.
Comply with company and customer safety policies.
Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
3+ years of design experience in fire protection or fire suppression.
Exposure to multiple fire suppression manufacturers’ systems (i.e., Kidde, Fike, Ansul, etc.).
Proficiency with AutoCAD software.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
