POSITION DESCRIPTION

CROSS COUNTRY HEAD COACH

REPORTS TO : Athletic Director

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Proven track record of successful coaching experience that demonstrates compassion, work ethic and integrity.
• Must have three or more years of formal cross country / track & field coaching experience; extensive instructional experience working with youth preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in relationship to all coaching staff, student-athletes and administration.
• Possess appropriate knowledge of the sport, including strength and conditioning of student-athletes.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, boosters, youth programs and the greater community.
• Demonstrated ability to develop a championship student-athlete, encompassing academics, physical development, character and skills.
• Bachelor's degree and a valid teaching certificate preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form.
