BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required within 90 days of hire Evidence of good health, grooming and professional conduct. Desire and ability to cooperate with and under the direction of others. Demonstrates a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty. Ability to accurately follow directions. Appreciation of, and the desire to be part of, a health care team dedicated to providing optimal patient care. Stamina – Capable of standing / walking for long periods of time (2-4 hours). Free lifting 50 pounds. Pushing stretchers / beds under loads of 200–500 pounds, with assistance. Frequent stooping, kneeling, reaching, bending, during shift. Responding to sudden, unexpected movements of patients. Responding quickly and effectively to emergencies; i.e., chemical spills (medications, IV fluids), infectious exposures, patient contact, needles / syringes, waste handling (bodily fluids), medical equipment.

- To assure effective and timely cleanliness of the operating rooms, maintain adequate inventory and supply par levels, and transport patients, specimens, equipment and supplies as directed.
- Must be enrolled in the CCC Surgical Tech Program.
