Job Description
Step into a high-tech second shift where precision meets momentum
You arrive to a spotless, modern shop floor humming with 15–20 advanced CNC machines (with more being added). Your day begins with a complex, limited-run part. You review the print, confirm material (from high-hard steels to aluminum), and map out the setup. Tooling choices, workholding, speeds, and feeds come together as you prepare the machine for a first-article cut.
Programming is handled in-house, so you focus on expert set-ups and targeted program edits. You verify features, adjust where needed in G-code, and document results. If anything falls outside specification, you capture it clearly and communicate in alignment with ISO and company standards—keeping quality, safety, and schedule at the forefront.
What you’ll own on the floor
- Set up larger, more complex parts for short production runs with confidence and speed.
- Perform minor program edits to hit tight tolerances while dedicated programmers manage full programming.
- Select and set tooling; dial in optimal speeds / feeds for diverse materials.
- Document and escalate quality issues per ISO and internal procedures.
- Deliver on-time, in-spec parts and collaborate closely with teammates across shifts.
- Work across materials ranging from high-hard steel to aluminum.
