Junior Commodity Manager
Summary : The commodity manager is responsible to define the purchasing strategy for the Company and or the Division. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include : Strategy Development and Implementation, Supplier Management, Contract Negotiation, and Supplier Performance Monitoring.
Required Education and / or Experience : A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Purchasing, or a related field, a minimum of 3 years' procurement / purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment with strategic responsibility for procurement is required and essential for this position. Good knowledge of purchasing KPI and tool (Spent, Performance Scorecard, Contract coverage, Master price list, ERP (SAP)), good project management skills, demonstrated ability to work effectively across cultural and geographical borders, ensuring alignment and collaboration within teams. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to instill confidence in all stakeholder groups.
Required Knowledge / Skills : Must be a proactive leader, negotiation skills and the ability to cultivate and maintain successful supplier relationships, strong communication skills, both written and interpersonal, with the ability to convey information effectively. Proficient in managing large Excel and Access databases with extensive data mining experience. A first experience in legal contract management and production-related commodity negotiations. Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and international business teams.
Work Environment & Physical Demands : Stationary 70% / Mobility 30% Travel 5-10%.
