Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical control systems for various industrial applications. This role requires a strong background in control panel design and experience with automation systems, ensuring that our projects meet both client requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical control panels using E-Plan, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
  • Ensure compliance with UL 508A, NEC, and NFPA standards in all control panel designs.
  • Program and configure PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs for various automation applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project specifications and requirements.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical control systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and junior engineers as needed.
  • Maintain project documentation and create detailed reports for engineering and management teams.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical controls engineering or a related role.
  • Proficiency in E-Plan, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks software.
  • Strong knowledge of Control Panel Design following UL 508A, NEC, and NFPA standards.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, and Rockwell FactoryTalk systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation and controls, including OEM and systems integrator environments.
