Job Title : Street And Storm Water Maintenance Worker

The purpose of this position is to assist in the maintenance of City streets, roads, and stormwater infrastructure. This is accomplished by constructing and repairing streets, sidewalks, and curbs; cleaning ditch lines; operating hand tools; driving dump trucks; raking asphalt and concrete; and maintaining light equipment and vehicles. FLSA : Non-Exempt. This is a continuous recruitment and may close at any time.

Examples of Duties :

• Applies sealant material;
• Rebuilds road shoulders;
• Applies asphalt surfaces;
• Reconditions deteriorating sidewalks, curbs, and repairs utility cuts;
• Controls vegetation growth;
• Removes limbs and other material from creek banks; and
• Reconstructs basin / manholes and storm drain pipe.
