Winding Operator

Staffmark is hiring a Winding Operator in Houston, TX! Join a skilled team and play a key role in the production of electric motors. If you have experience with motor winding, soldering, or crimping, this is a great opportunity to grow your career.

Pay : $20-23 / hr

1st Shift Available

Lifting Requirements : Up to 50 lbs

What You'll Do :

• Wind electric motors by inserting copper wire coils and connecting jumpers / lead cables
• Interpret motor specifications using BOM and Winding Instruction Sheets
• Inserting insulation and insulated copper wire coils into stator cores
• Pre-forming coil end turns with rubber mallets or forming pedals
• Trimming phase separators
• Pre-forming end turns and connecting jumpers / lead cables using solder, hydraulic, or air crimpers
• Hand-lacing winding end turns
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with quality control standards
• Form coils and perform related production tasks as needed
