• RN's - Pass / Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated

• Radius Rule : 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and / or Dignity. Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles. Fingernail policy : Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract - Beds : 28 - Ratios : 1 : 04 - Common diagnoses / Types of patients : Adults, generally patients that arrive through the ER, Mixed Medical / Surgical along with cardiac and stroke patients - Are RNs required to titrate drips? : Yes - Common titratable & / or set rate drips : Heparin, octreotide, insulin, maintenance dosages of IV meds (non-titratable) - Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? : Yes - Are there nurse aids / patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties? : Yes- 1 : 14 - Specialty Equipment Available : Code Carts, LUCAS Machines, hoyer lift, Sit and Stand - Are there Tele / Monitor Techs on this unit? : Tele yes - RNs must be able to read and interpret - Shifts & Scheduling : 0630-1900, 1830-0700 / 6 week scheduling. Scheduling is done by unit schedulers - Weekend Requirements : Every other weekend - Holiday Requirements : Will rotate with perm staff - Floating Requirements : Med / Surg and to all areas in the hospital, depending on abilities, including ICU / ED for appropriate types of patient care - Scrub Color / Dress code : Navy Blue - How many shifts of unit / department specific orientation? : First week is classroom orientation, then 2- 12 hour shifts - Additional Notes : This is a high flow unit with frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges. Looking for positive nurses willing to work with others as a team to overcome challenges. Having a unit secretary 2-3 days / week and a stocking clerk 3 days / week Radius Rule : 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and / or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
