Must possess an excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product. Experience with other diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, & International are a plus. Other mechanical skills desired but not essential : Hydraulics, Brakes & Suspension, Manual Transmissions, Drive Train, and Automatic Transmissions. Job Title : Diesel Truck Mechanic / Technician
Location : Lakeville, Minnesota
Company : Interstate Power Systems
Interstate Power System’s is looking for Diesel Mechanic(s) based out of our Lakeville, Minnesota location with a minimum of 3-5 years of Light or Heavy-Duty diesel experience. If you are a Diesel Mechanic / Technician who specializes in Freightliner, Detroit, Allison, Cummins, CAT products, MTU and more we are offering highly competitive wages!
Pay Range : $35.00 - $40.00 per hour DOE
Diesel Mechanic / Technician Job Duties :
- Responsible for repairing, maintaining diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and diesel equipment.
- Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex diesel engine conditions and make necessary repairs.
- Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding those repairs.
- Quality control work performed to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
- Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion.
- Meet requirements for certifications.
