As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Overnight in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail and mall location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the property. Your role is key in fostering a welcoming environment while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication to guests and tenants. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises by vehicle as well as on foot. What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, disturbances, and / or other unwanted activities.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and / or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with retail or mall staff and local authorities as needed to address security-related matters.
  • Remain visible and approachable to assist visitors and / or tenants with questions or concerns related to security-related matters.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and / or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
