As a Security Officer - Retail Site - Full Time in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for all visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the property, and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication and a professional presence. Job Schedule : DayTime

Monday 10 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 PM

Tuesday 10 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 PM

Wednesday 10 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 PM

Thursday 10 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the location to observe for unusual or suspicious behavior.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance issues according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with access control and visitor management as required by site-specific procedures.
  • Support retail staff and management with security-related matters, providing a visible presence to help to deter theft and other unwanted activity.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
