Work Schedule : Monday through Friday. Must be flexible to travel, work overtime, nights, and weekends if needed.
Pay Range : Starting at $28.00 an hour
Job Duties & Responsibilities :
- Performs thorough inspection of railcars / railcar components.
- Maintains current knowledge of government, industry (FRA & AAR), customer, and company policy, procedures, and work instructions.
- Inspects and ensures workmanship meets government, industry (FRA & AAR), customer, and company quality requirements.
- Proficient in the interpretation of drawings and specification, including weld and nondestructive testing symbols.
- May participate in root-cause investigations, and corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence.
- Complete Daily JSA's for job to be performed.
- Complete Confined Space Entry Permits or Retain Copy of Confined Space Permit
- Create reports to document inspections per customer requirements.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by Inspection Manager
Overall Responsibilities :
Notifies of any materials and / or equipment required to ensure completion of job tasksFollows all safety rules, keeps work area clean and complies with all ARS Environmental Health and Safety PoliciesEnsures FRA, AAR and / or ARS and customer quality assurance standards are metCompletes any other duties as assigned in order to complete the taskJob Qualifications :
Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is availableMay require a valid Driver's License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.Pass a drug screen, physical, and background checkPrevious military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.Why join the PSC team?
