Behavioral Health Clinician - Homeless Support Program

Location : San Francisco, CA

Compensation : $86,000-88,000 per year

Join a well-established non-profit organization in San Francisco at the forefront of practical and innovative solutions for serving homeless and very low-income residents. Over the past year, we have provided integrated programs, harm reduction strategies, and culturally forward services to more than 13,000 individuals. Our services encompass 14 supportive housing sites, partnerships with rapid and long-term rehousing providers, and first-class behavioral health services.

    • Responsibilities :

    In this role, you will :

  • Maintain a regular caseload and deliver professional, culturally relevant support, advocacy, information, and referrals to program participants.
  • Complete initial and ongoing assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning in collaboration with your assigned caseload.
  • Regularly meet with each client and provide Medi-Cal billable mental health services, including assessment, rehabilitation skills building, diagnosis, referral, consultation, brokerage, counseling, and crisis management.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of care plans, client interactions, progress toward goals, and exit plans using the Avatar electronic charting and billing system.

    • Requirements :

  • A master's degree in social work or a related field is required, along with Board of Behavioral Sciences registration / licensure (AMFT, APCC, ACSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW).
  • 1 + years of experience providing therapy
  • A strong commitment to and knowledge of harm reduction practices.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
