Responsibilities Work in a Med / Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting Typical schedule is 3x12 hour shifts with day / night rotating shifts (7am-7 : 30pm and 7pm-7 : 30am), with shift assignments based on operational needs Patient population includes adults requiring medical-surgical and telemetry care Use of telemetry monitoring and related equipment Electronic timekeeping through Qualivis – Lotus Responsible for providing care to med / surg and telemetry patients, including cardiac monitoring and assessment Must work at least every other holiday as part of the assignment All candidates must complete onsite fingerprinting and badging prior to start Orientation includes ECG rhythm and medication safety assessments with two attempts to achieve passing scores Eligible for both local and travel candidates with the same hourly rate Must not have been employed at the facility within the last year PAPRs are not considered an alternative for caregivers with facial hair, except for approved medical or religious exemption Nurses are currently exempt from nicotine-free requirements but subject to annual 10 Panel Nicotine drug screen Annual and pre-start modules are required and tracked online Holiday coverage expectations apply Requirements Active OH or compact RN license in hand AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 18 months of permanent MS / Tele RN experience prior to travel assignments Recent (within 18 months) experience in a Med / Surg Tele setting One supervisory reference in the specialty is required for consideration License and certifications must be active at time of consideration, with no pending status Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation is required No open background check cases or license hits accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627414.
