About The Therapy Place
The Therapy Place is a nonprofit pediatric therapy center providing occupational, physical, and speech-language services in a family-centered environment. We serve over 150 children each week and are also home to The Bridges School, an on-site private program (preschool–5th grade) where therapists and educators collaborate to help children reach their fullest potential.
Our mission is to provide traditional and innovative therapies and recreational opportunities for children with special needs while supporting parents and caregivers.
Position Summary
The Clinic Director is a licensed therapist and visionary leader responsible for the overall success of the therapy department. This includes leading a multidisciplinary team of therapists and support staff, ensuring the highest quality of care, and developing systems for growth, efficiency, and sustainability.
This position is primarily strategic and leadership-focused (less than 25% direct therapy). The Clinic Director partners with the COO to align clinical operations with organizational goals, strengthen systems, and foster collaboration with The Bridges School.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People Development
Lead, supervise, and develop therapists and administrative staff.
Promote a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture.
Oversee hiring, onboarding, and professional development.
Collaborate closely with Bridges School leadership for integrated services.
Clinical Excellence & Family Experience
Ensure high-quality, evidence-based care across all disciplines.
Monitor patient outcomes, family satisfaction, and program effectiveness.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all applicable regulations.
Operations & Financial Management
Partner with COO on scheduling, billing, documentation, and process improvement.
Monitor productivity, caseload balance, and billing accuracy.
Support growth through referral development and community relationships.
Organizational Representation
Represent The Therapy Place at board meetings and community events.
Build partnerships with physicians, schools, and referral sources.
Serve as a visible and mission-driven leader in the organization.
Qualifications
Licensed Therapist (OT, PT, or SLP) with pediatric experience.
Minimum 5 years of pediatric clinical experience and leadership / supervisory experience .
Strong organizational, communication, and financial management skills.
Experience with insurance / billing systems preferred.
Passionate about serving children with special needs and their families.
