Caterpillar is seeking a 1st Shift Assembly Production Manager in Sanford, NC. In this role, you will collaborate with the team, maintain, and improve processes, systems and the manufacturing of the products produced in the facility. Further you will analyze and recommend current and future systems procedures and equipment needs based on manufacturing requirements.
What you can look forward to in this role :
- Report section status and monitors and audits related metrics
- Drives root cause corrective action projects and continuous improvement
- Leads section status reporting and monitors / audits section metrics
- Leads the creation, implementation and training of standard work procedures
- Manage outbound shipments for multiple customer types, including processing, systems, and required documentation for overseas shipments
- Monitor and improve shop floor safety, aggressively eliminating unsafe processes
- Assures fixtures, tooling and processes are followed to meet production schedules
- Increases production efficiency through continuous improvement and waste elimination

Manufacturing Safety : Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.Production Training : Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for delivering formal and informal training on the safe and efficient operation of production machinery; ability to conduct effective formal and situation-specific training.Talent Management : Knowledge of human resources and talent management processes; ability to lead, motivate, evaluate, and reward employees at the workplace.Top candidates for this position may also have :

Summary Pay Range : $87,480.00 - $131,280.00
