Build On Your Lot Sales Consultant
The Build On Your Lot Sales Consultant is the face of Origin Homes, and is responsible for guiding potential buyers through the sales process while also overseeing brand awareness events and marketing strategies to attract and engage clients. This position collaborates closely with the marketing, design, and construction teams, real estate agents, and community stakeholders to elevate brand awareness and foster relationships that drive sales. Schedule varies and includes some weekend hours. Compensation structure includes base salary plus earned commissions.
Sales and Client Relations :
- Engages with prospective buyers, providing an exceptional, personalized experience from initial inquiry through closing.
- Meets one-on-one with potential clients to understand their land, lifestyle, and budget. Guides potential clients through floor plan options, customizations, and pricing by showcasing new construction homes and community features.
- Clearly explains the build on your lot process, financing considerations, site prep, timelines, and our construction approach.
- Hosts open house events and meets with clients on weekdays, evenings, and weekends as required.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with local real estate agents, brokers, and industry partners across rural Iowa.
- Responds promptly to sales inquiries and qualifies leads using our proven consultation process. Manages leads, follow-ups, and contracts through CRM systems to ensure seamless client communication.
- Negotiates sales contracts and assists buyers with the selection of customizations and upgrades.
- Works closely with the design, estimating, and construction teams to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
- Participates in sales meetings, training programs, and networking events to continuously improve sales skills and expand professional network.
Events & Marketing :
Represents Origin Homes at local events, conferences, home shows, and realtor meetings to generate new business.Sources, personalizes, and delivers thoughtful client closing gifts that reflect the Origin Homes brand.Plans, coordinates, and hosts open house events or onsite walkthroughs. Ensures presentation materials (flyers, signage, digital invites) are prepared and available.Regularly audits all signage and promotional materials at job sites and display homes.Assists with collecting photos, stories, and testimonials from clients, as well as photos / videos from job sites and walkthroughs to support our digital marketing and social media presence.Collaborates with the marketing team to ensure all sales tools (digital brochures, spec sheets, pricing books, etc.) are accurate and up to date.Requirements :
2+ years of sales experience in home building, residential real estate, land development, or related industry. Build On Your Lot experience strongly preferred.Must be licensed to sell real estate in the state of Iowa or able to obtain license within six (6) months of hire.Comfortable driving to meet clients across rural Iowa.Strong understanding of rural clientele and the regional real estate market.Proficiency in CRM software, social media marketing, and event management tools.Experience in event planning, marketing, or brand partnerships preferred.Mobile phone with a data plan is required.Must have a reliable vehicle and have proof of liability insurance for same. Must possess a valid driver's license and be bondable.Must remain alert at all times to perform essential functions of the position.Success Factors :
