Shape the Standard. Elevate the Craft.

At Glenn Metalcraft Inc. (an Elemet Group company), quality is a daily practice—not an afterthought. As our Manufacturing Quality Systems Engineer in Princeton, MN, you will be the connective thread between engineering, production, and supply chain, ensuring every component meets rigorous standards from first article to full-scale production.

A day in this role

You start by reviewing control charts and overnight SPC alerts. On the floor, you verify gauge calibration, coach operators on inspection tools, and step into an MRB huddle to disposition a nonconformance. Midday, you finalize Initial Sample Inspection Reports and bubble drawings for a new part launch, then program a Faro Arm for a complex geometric validation. Before you wrap, you log CAPAs, update control plans, and confirm that 5S standards are holding across work cells.

What you will do

  • Embed quality requirements into manufacturing processes in partnership with engineering, production, and supply chain.
  • Analyze data objectively and act in the best interests of both the company and our customers.
  • Champion and reinforce the Quality Management System (ISO 9001 environment).
  • Initiate / assist with CAPAs, NCMRs, and ECRs to drive effective resolution.

  • Train team members on inspection tools and equipment; support accurate, on-time Faro Arm programming (as applicable).
  • Create professional inspection documentation aligned with customer-required inspection plans.
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment; ensure all measurement tools are in optimal condition.
  • Measure in-process parts, perform inspections, and conduct random quality checks.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency; lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor processes, interpret control charts, and identify trends or variation.
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings to resolve nonconforming material / product issues.
  • Help implement and sustain 5S to improve workplace organization and flow.
  • Provide departmental support and assist on projects as directed by the Quality Manager.
