Automotive Pre-Owned Service Technician

Overview

AUTOMOTIVE PRE-OWNED SERVICE TECHNICIAN. Are you a technician interested in a TIERED Pay Plan, Longevity BONUS Program and so much more? We welcome Technicians, Trainees and Apprentices!

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.
• Receive repair orders from dispatcher and take to stall area.
• Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair as authorized.
• Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain needed parts; tag and save parts, turn in parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Advise service advisor immediately if any additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed with the promised time.
• Document work performed and road-test vehicles to ensure the repair has addressed the customer complaint.
• Perform quality checks and attend training classes; stay abreast of factory technical bulletins.
• Keep customers' vehicles clean and administer safety and housekeeping policies and procedures.
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations governing service repair work.

Physical Requirements

The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally walk, sit, talk or hear; and frequently lift / move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds.
