About The Position

Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse with a specialty in CVICU.

The nurse will work in a mixed acuity unit that includes patients from PCU and MedSurg.

Candidates must be comfortable with a diverse range of patient diagnoses, including cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, cardiology, endocrine, and oncology.

The unit's largest patient population consists of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients, including CABG, TAVR, SAVR, MVR, and VATS.

Special skills required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post-cardiac surgery care, arterial line management, blood product administration, and central line management.

Applicants should also have experience in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, as well as care for ventilated patients.

Previous charge experience is preferred.

Candidates will be required to work every other weekend and must commit to working two out of three major holidays.

The facility uses Cerner for charting.

This position involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care.
