Responsibilities In early 2025 we transitioned to a brand new state of the art Women’s and Children’s tower featuring 109 private NICU rooms on Ascension St. Vincent’s main campus. Additionally, our neonatologists cover a 16 bed Level III NICU at Ascension St.Vincent Carmel Hospital and support NNPs covering a nearby regional hospital level II nursery via telehealth. Our NICUs admit over 1000 newborns each year, and our hospitals average 5000 deliveries a year, with a high proportion of high-risk deliveries and referrals from our maternal-fetal OB providers. Our NICUs are supported by a full range of pediatric subspecialties including pediatric cardiology, neurology, pulmonology, nephrology and medical genetics. Additionally we are supported by the full range of pediatric surgeons including general surgery, neurosurgery, ENT and cardiovascular surgery. Position Details : Clinical service for all neonates admitted to the Level IV and III neonatal intensive care units Primary day-time attending coverage in NICU at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital as well as Ascension St Vincent Carmel In-house night call at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital and Ascension St Vincent Carmel. Oversight of pediatric residents and mid-level providers including NNP, PA and PNP. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration : Physician MD / DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred. Education : Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
