Grinder Operator – Day Shift

Company : Trinity Employment Specialists

Location : Tulsa, OK

About the Role :

Trinity Employment Specialists is hiring a Grinder Operator to join Tulsa Centerless on the day shift (Monday–Friday, 6 : 00 am to 2 : 30 pm) . This role offers hands-on training in centerless grinding and the opportunity to grow into a permanent position with competitive pay and regular overtime availability.

Duties and Responsibilities

Set up and operate centerless grinding machines to produce precision-ground products.
Inspect and record measurements in line with work instructions.
Identify equipment issues and recommend corrective actions or improvements.
Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment following company safety policies and 5S initiatives.
Follow safety standards to ensure all employees leave work in the same condition they arrived.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Technical / trade school experience is a plus.

Ability to solve basic math problems.

Ability to read and understand machining blueprints.

Comfortable using precision measuring tools (tape measures, micrometers, calipers, etc.).

Strong attendance, reliability, and readiness to learn are essential.

Training

3–6 months of structured training, including hands-on grinding, material education, and troubleshooting tools.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Standing and walking for most of the shift.

Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Exposure to moving machinery, moderate noise, and airborne particles.

Use of specialized equipment : centerless grinders, forklifts, overhead cranes, and precision measuring tools.

Pay & Schedule

Pay range : $16–$18 / hour.

Most new hires start at $17 / hour , with a pay increase possible upon permanent hire.

Overtime often available (up to 10 extra hours / week), typically offered after permanent hire.
