Labor & Delivery RN Job Details Location : Albany, GA 31701 – Georgia nursing jobs Estimated Weekly Salary : $1840 - $1980 Assignment Length : 17 weeks (October 8, 2025 – February 4, 2026) Shift : 12-hour nights (6 : 45 PM – 6 : 45 AM) Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed Healthcare Setting : Acute care, Labor & Delivery Unit Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Floating : As needed to post-partum unit Orientation : 2 floor-specific shifts Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Georgia or compact state Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience (travel RN experience required) Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications Intermediate or higher Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification Proven experience with high-risk and routine obstetric (OB) patients Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience required L&D RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a 12-bed Labor & Delivery unit Monitor and assess patients using OB Trace and follow AWHONN staffing ratios Assist with high-risk deliveries, c-sections, cerclages, tubals, and routine OB procedures Collaborate with neonatologists, OB hospitalists, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team Float to post-partum unit as needed to support patient care Participate in rotating holiday and weekend schedules Accurately document nursing care and interventions in Meditech 6.1 EMR Promote a baby-friendly hospital environment and work closely with lactation consultants Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse in Albany, Georgia.
