IMEG Corp. is growing, and we'd love you to join our team! We are currently seeking a Structural Project Designer-Engineer in our Minneapolis, MN office.

The role involves performing calculations, system design (including gravity and lateral framing, foundation sizing), preparing reports, progress submittals, BIM instructions, and specifications to ensure project completeness and accuracy within budget and schedule. The Structural Project Designer-Engineer exercises independent judgment in their duties.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Act as Lead Designer, analyzing and designing simple structures using engineering judgment, software, spreadsheets, and calculations.
  • Prepare project specifications and verify compliance with codes.
  • Calculate costs and schedules, review scope and personnel involved.
  • Maintain client relations, document design decisions, and ensure project documentation is complete.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and suppliers.
  • Document meetings, decisions, and client instructions promptly.
  • Review project documents for accuracy before final checks.
  • Prepare and issue addenda.
  • Identify potential problems and consult with the Project Manager.
  • Review design methods, scope changes, and client correspondence with the Project Manager.
  • Conduct site observations and perform other contractual services.
  • Mentor junior staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills

  • Mastery of technical aspects of the discipline.
  • Project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD, and BIM software.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's in Structural Engineering preferred.
  • PE license preferred but not required.
  • 4-10 years of relevant experience, or 12+ years without a degree.
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
  • Salary ranges from $83,000 to $112,000, based on experience, skills, and location. Benefits include bonuses, stock options, health insurance, wellness programs, retirement plans, paid holidays, and PTO. More details are available at www.imegcorp.com

    Physical Requirements

  • Regular sitting, walking, standing, talking, seeing, hearing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasional driving, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching, and pulling.
