American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Rehab inpatient position on night shifts requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and an active AZ or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a 52-bed Neuro Rehab unit within an acute hospital settingServes a 90% neurological patient population, including traumatic brain injury, brain tumor resection, CVA, and organ transplant casesRN to patient ratio is 1 : 6 with 2 charge RNs with light assignments based on census12-hour night shifts with four weekend shifts per 4-week period and rotation for 2 of 4 major holidaysFloating required to any Med Surg unit within the hospitalCerner is the EMR system usedNo telemetry or ventilator management requiredPatients receive interdisciplinary therapy 5 out of 7 days, 3 hours per dayResponsibilities include IV therapy, wound care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care teamRequires high-level communication and personal involvement with patients and familiesOrientation includes floor-specific training and simulation assessments on day oneMen must be clean-shaven for fit tests and all staff must have natural hair color with no facial piercingsScrub color required is slate greyMust not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past yearTwo professional references required, including one supervisor reference from the past 12 monthsFirst-time travelers may be considered\n \n Requirements\n
Active AZ or compact RN license required at time of considerationCurrent BLS certification requiredMinimum 2 years of recent RN experienceMust have previous Level 1 Trauma experienceStrong Med Surg experience required; rehab experience preferredMust pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance with two attempts allowedMust pass a sterile technique simulation lab on Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes on the first day of orientationMust reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as verified by driver's license\n Benefits\n
