Senior Design Engineer – Structural & Sheet Metal Enclosures
Location : Schaumburg, IL (Onsite initially, transitioning to 2 days WFH / 3 days onsite)
Summary :
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Design Engineer specializing in structural and sheet metal enclosure solutions.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred
- At least 10 years of experience in sheet metal and structural steel design
- Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Spot, Plasma, Laser)
- Strong experience in FEA (stress, creep, compression, etc.) using CREO Simulate or Ansys
- Knowledge of ASCE 07 wind and snow loading design & analysis
- Experience with CREO / Windchill (5+ years desired); knowledge of other 3D CAD systems considered
- Ability to develop and interpret structural analysis reports for certification / stamping
