Location

This position is located in a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

This role operates on a schedule of Sunday to Wednesday from 7 : 30 PM to 6 : 00 AM, with four 10-hour shifts.

Job Description

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, under the direction of the Medical Director, Section Head, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist, performs technical procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced environment. The technologist will utilize their specific modality to create diagnostic images while ensuring a safe and positive experience for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform trauma and emergency room MRI scans.
  • Conduct MRI exams on outpatients and inpatients, including those in intensive care.
  • Assist with MRI-guided procedures for specialized patient care.
  • Participate in teaching and learning initiatives as technology evolves.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Current certification by AART.
  • New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) license required at the time of submission.
