Traveling Journeyman Electrician
Will be responsible for installing and supporting electrical infrastructure in various settings, ensuring safety and compliance with design and code requirements.
Responsibilities
- Install and support electrical infrastructure including raceways, conduit systems, and cable trays to meet design and code requirements.
- Terminate motors and motor control systems, ensuring proper operation and safety compliance.
- Pull and route wire and cable according to specifications and project plans.
- Install and terminate transformers, bus duct, switchgear, and motor control centers with precision and adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation including quality assurance sign-off sheets and customer approval forms.
- Interpret and apply electrical codes, blueprints, schematics, sketches, and technical specifications to assigned tasks.
- Execute all work with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality, minimizing downtime and material waste.
Essential Skills
Strong math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide units of measure accurately.Proficient in making precise cuts and measurements to reduce material waste and support complex installations.Ability to understand and construct complex forming systems and layouts.Committed to safety training and compliance, with the ability to perform tasks independently and responsibly without constant supervision.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Licensed Journeyman Electrician with the ability to reciprocate the license to Iowa.Experience in electrical, construction, conduit, troubleshooting, and wiring.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Must be able to work scheduled / unscheduled overtime, including weekends and holidays.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) while regularly working in outside weather conditions and around moving mechanical parts. Employees may work in high, precarious places and occasionally face wet or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles. The noise level is typically loud. You must be available to work Monday through Saturday, with opportunities for significant overtime. Per diem is provided for days worked.
