About The Position

Job Title : Anesthesia Tech

Must-Have : Experience with difficult IV access, experience with labor and delivery, and interventional radiology

Description :

Schedule is Monday to Friday from 0630 to 1500.

Call is divided among current technicians for weeknights, weekends, and holidays.

This facility is a Level IV Trauma Center with a Level III NICU.

It is recognized as an Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center with a total of 228 beds.

The average number of cases per day is 20-23, primarily in orthopedic, gynecological, and general surgery.

Surgeries include laparoscopic and robotic procedures, with experience required in robotic surgery.

Team members support a variety of cases including total joints and sports medicine.

Plastics and urology procedures are also performed frequently.

All patients are tested 72 hours prior to their procedure for COVID-19, with rapid testing available for urgent cases.

Patient ratios are typically 1 : 1.

The charge nurse does not have a patient assignment during the first shift, with occasional assignments at the end of the second shift.

Support on the unit includes anesthesia monitors at the bedside.

Charting is conducted using an electronic system.

Weekly scheduling is based on the surgical schedule with an on-call rotation.

Requests for time off will be approved up to 7 days.
