How Your Role Fits Into Boldt :

The Director of Government Contract Accounting will lead Boldt’s efforts in accounting and reporting of all government contracts and related costing activities. This position will ensure compliance with government accounting regulations including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) as Boldt pursues and manages projects with governmental entities involving construction, construction management, and / or modular unit manufacturing. This role is crucial for enhancing and sustaining Boldt’s expertise in government contract accounting compliance. It involves establishing policies and processes, collaborating with various team leaders and Boldt personnel, and overseeing all relevant reporting requirements. The role is designed to be a dynamic component of Boldt’s efforts into large, sophisticated government contracting projects.

What You Get to Do :

• Serve as the primary advisor on government contract accounting and communicate requirements to all appropriate parties.
• Build and strengthen Boldt’s knowledge of government contract accounting, including compliance, process, and reporting requirements.
• Engage outside counsel / consultants for areas of complexity as applicable.
• Interface with government contracting officials, co-workers, vendors, and customers on all matters of the contract lifecycle.
• Support subcontracts financial matters (costing, billing, etc.) including flow down of prime-contract clauses, in coordination with our engagement teams and subcontractors.
• Advise Boldt Finance on various budget, reporting, and invoicing matters.
• Responsible for supporting the end-to-end proposal process including cost volume preparation.
• Establish government rate structures, cost pools, and lead the establishment of government accounting policies, processes, and structures.
• Manage reporting requirements related to government contract accounting.
• Identify and escalate risks and manage the overall process to comply with Boldt company policies.
• Guide Boldt’s payroll compliance with Certified Payroll, while working with Labor Relations and engagement teams to assure requirements of the Davis-Bacon and Service Contract Acts are met.
• Lead and manage related audits.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours. The employee occasionally is required to move to access people or workspaces. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. The ability to effectively communicate is required. The employee may occasionally move up to 15 pounds.

The working conditions of this position require the employee to work inside an office environment. The environment for which this position functions may contain scents and fragrances. May be requested to work overtime and weekends.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $180,000 - $200,000 per year. This range represents what The Boldt Company reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to : candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, alignment with market data and internal equity as well as other business and organizational needs. Their preference is that the individual will report into the Corporate office in Appleton, WI . If the individual works out of a different location, the anticipated salary range is subject to change.
