DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Equipment Operator for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and smooth operation of our roadways, especially during the challenging winter months when snow plowing becomes essential. Your contributions extend beyond snow removal to encompass work on various construction sites, where your skills directly impact the infrastructure and safety of the traveling public. In addition to operating heavy machinery, you are entrusted with performing minor repairs and conducting preventative maintenance on your equipment and trucks. Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Work hours subject to change based on seasonal requirements and operational needs.
• Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
