Trade certificates or industry-recognized certifications. Additional 2+ years of relevant experience.

Position : Maintenance Trades Specialist II, Building Automation System Tech
Location : Chicago, IL
Salary Range : $28.05 / hr - $42.10 / hr
Employment Type : Full-time
Job Summary
Responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance and basic technical repairs in various building and utility / support systems. Assists with maintaining life safety systems and required documentation.
Major Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks and repairs on facility systems, documenting tasks through the computerized maintenance system.
- Assist in evaluating and troubleshooting basic building system failures and perform repairs as directed.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain basic Utility System Infrastructure.
- Assist in maintaining fire alarm and fire protection systems.
- Support the installation of building hardware, electrical devices, and wall finishes under supervision.
- Maintain preventive maintenance records and equipment repair files for compliance.
- Read blueprints, Life Safety drawings, and maintenance manuals to complete assignments.
