M1 is looking for an Safety Manager :

Position Description

• Manages air / ground / industrial safety programs for assigned locations and shifts IAW PWS / federal / state / local company guidance.
• Demonstrates a continuous effort to improve safety operations, eliminate mishaps, and protect people, resources and government property.
• Develops, demonstrates and promotes a safety culture while maintaining compliance, quality and a professionalism atmosphere.
• Ensures compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and company policies relating to contract operations.
• Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of aircraft maintenance, safety, and quality control procedures in an Army / USAF aviation environment (preferred).
• Maintains accident / mishap and incident records, conducts safety audits / inspections, and promotes the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Manages key EHS programs and serves as the designated Subject Matter Expert (SME) for these programs.
• Conducts investigations and completes all required reports for aircraft accidents / mishaps which is used to determine the root cause and develop sustainable corrective actions.
• Provides technical support including data gathering / analysis, training, and correspondence with internal and external customers.
• Completes CDRL reports, conducts safety briefings / training, and attends or conducts meetings as required.
• Produces quality work, meets all suspense dates, and manages EHS programs and job responsibilities in a compliant, timely, and professional manner.
• Reports / investigates aircraft accidents / mishaps to determine the cause and formulate recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
• Develops reports, conducts briefings, provides safety training, and attends or conducts meetings as required.
